Hello and welcome to my website! I’m an Associate Professor of Psychological Science at Ball State University.
My research centers on people’s opinions, including when and how those attitudes change. In particular, I'm interested in what happens when people moralize their attitudes and how moral persuasive rhetoric can sometimes be compelling and sometimes backfire. I also study the feeling of ambivalence and the stability of people's opinions over time. This research has looked at many different opinions, including attitudes toward health, environmental, political, and consumer issues. Poke around the site to learn more about my research, and get in touch if you want to know more!
